What we offer
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese practice that involves the application of heat to acupoints on the body using a smouldering herb called mugwort, or "moxa". The heat is used to stimulate circulation and promote healing. Moxibustion warms and invigorates the flow of energy in the body and can be used in conjunction with acupuncture, or on its own.
Cupping
Cupping is involves the use of suction to stimulate the flow of energy and blood to promote healing. Small cups are placed on the skin to create a vacuum, which draws the skin and underlying tissues into the cup. This suction is believed to help improve blood flow and relieve pain, tension, and muscle knots.
Laser Acupuncture
Laser acupuncture uses low-level laser therapy (LLLT) instead of traditional needles to stimulate acupoints. Laser beams are applied to the skin at specific points on the body which correspond to particular pathways or "meridians" in order to help improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote healing.
Laser acupuncture is often considered less invasive and less painful than traditional needle acupuncture, making it a good option for people who are needle-phobic or who have a low pain tolerance.
Shonishin
Shonishin is a form of paediatric acupuncture that originated in Japan to promote overall health and wellness in children. Instead of using traditional acupuncture needles, Shonishin utilises special tools to stimulate acupoints on a child's body, such as taps, rubs, and gentle pressure to influence the correct flow of energy around the child’s body.
Shinoshin is non-invasive, gentle, and performed interactively to make the experience enjoyable for children. Shonishin can be used to treat allergies, asthma, digestive or respiratory issues, sleep problems, and headaches.
