  • Toyohari Acupuncture

Toyohari is a special style of acupuncture known for its gentle techniques and refined needling skills. Evolving from traditional Chinese acupuncture, Toyohari was developed in Japan to use a lighter touch and focus on using the body's natural healing abilities to treat a wide range of conditions.

  • Treatment

Wilasinee combines Toyohari acupuncture with other elements of traditional Chinese medicine to offer drug-free management of pain and other symptoms. She treats a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, migraines, depression and anxiety, fertility issues and long COVID.

FAQs

  • Like classical acupuncture, Toyohari is rooted in teachings from ancient classical Chinese texts, however, the techniques and tools are different.

Known for its gentle techniques and refined needling, Toyohari was developed in Japan by blind practitioners. Rather than inserting needles into the skin, Toyohari aims to manipulate the qi (the body’s vital energy) at the surface of the skin, with the tip of the needle only very lightly touching the skin - or not at all.

  • Wilasinee combines acupuncture with other traditional Chinese medicine services to provide gentle and safe, yet powerful, solutions for a variety of health conditions. These may include:

Moxibustion – heat stimulation to invigorate and correct the flow of energy in the body.

Cupping – using suction to stimulate the follow of energy and blood to promote healing.

Laser acupuncture – the use of low-level laser therapy instead of traditional acupuncture needles to stimulate acupoints.

Shonishin – paediatric acupuncture that uses special tools to stimulate acupoints in children rather than needles. Often used to treat asthma, allergies, digestive or respiratory issues, sleep problems and headaches.
